Liberals rushed to blame Republicans and members of the “far-right” Friday for the attack on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul.
An assailant broke into the Pelosi home in San Francisco and “violently assaulted” him while Nancy Pelosi and her private security were located in Washington, D.C. Paul was transported to a hospital, where he is recovering from his injuries.
Liberals on Twitter blamed the “far-right” and supporters of former President Donald Trump for the attack, even though there is no confirmed information about the suspect or on the motivation for the attack.
“We don’t know why someone violently assaulted Paul Pelosi today. Yet. But it’s hard not to notice that the same Republicans who keep talking about crime *keep inciting people to violence.* Their logic is self-perpetuating. More fear, more violence, more guns. Rinse & repeat,” Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, a Democrat and CNN political commentator, wrote.
We don’t know why someone violently assaulted Paul Pelosi today. Yet.

The attack on Paul Pelosi is proof they would have killed Nancy Pelosi had they had the chance to Jan. 6.

Several on the left also criticized a segment of Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom,” where anchor Bill Hemmer and contributor Leo Terrell focused the rising crime rate across the U.S. Terrell said that “crime does discriminate” against race, gender or political affiliation. The crime rate in San Francisco rose 7.4% in 2022 in comparison to the previous year, according to the San Francisco Police Department. Assault increased by 11% and larceny theft spiked by 15%.
Pelosi’s husband was arrested and charged on one count of driving under the influence and one count of allegedly driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or higher in August. A Jeep struck his 2021 Porsche while he was allegedly intoxicated in Yontville, California. He pleaded not guilty to the charges.
